Thursday, May 25 – WATE 6 On Your Side Storm Team Tour visits Lenoir City:  7 p.m., The Venue at Lenoir City, 7690 Creekwood Park Blvd., Lenoir City.  WATE 6 On Your Side is hosting a 2017 Storm Team Tour!  This special evening will be focused on severe weather safety and how you can protect your family when Mother Nature is at her worst.  Join Chief Meteorologist Matt Hinkin, and meteorologists Trent Magill, Ken Weathers and Shea Sorenson for an educational and hands-on learning experience.  From making sure you know what to do during a tornado, to how to stay safe during flash flooding and lightning storms, we’ll be there to make sure everyone knows how to stay aware and alert during severe weather. 

 

Saturday, June 3 & Sunday, June 4 – 55th Annual Lenoir City Arts & Crafts Festival:  9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday; 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Sunday, Lenoir City Lake Park.  The GFWC Suburbia Woman’s Club invites you to enjoy over 170 vendors selling and demonstrating crafts, and plenty of great food!  Donation of $3 for entry.  All the monies raised goes back into the community through county programs including scholarships.

Tuesday, May 23 – Natalie Mong of Upstate Birds of Prey with Live Rescue Birds at The Neighborhood at Tellico Village:  3 p.m., The Neighborhood at Tellico Village, 100 Chatuga Drive West, Loudon.  Meet majestic birds of prey!  Natalie and the Upstate Birds of Prey staff will discuss each bird’s adaptation, habitats, and predator/prey relationships.  This is an amazing opportunity to be up close and person with these regal beings!  To be held in The Neighborhood Lecture Hall.  Please use Bistro Entrance.  RSVP is required by Friday, May 19th by calling Marty at 865-271-7236.
