Tuesday, June 20 – Greenback Farmer’s Market:  11 a.m. – 5 p.m., Greenback Depot.

Tuesday, June 20 & 27 – Free Summer Garden Camps for Kids:  Rising 3rd – 6th graders, to be held at the Lions Club Pavilion and community garden at Loudon Municipal Park.  Learn how to garden!  Fun outdoor activities!  Cook & eat yummy garden recipes!  Limited spots – register today - $40 refundable deposit.  Let your kids experience the fun and joy of gardening and healthy living!  These FREE GetFresh! Garden day camps will teach kids how to garden, let them be part of growing food in a local community garden, keep them active in the outdoors and let them cook and eat the fruits of their labor!  Children who attend all four camps will receive Junior Master Gardener certification.  This FREE camp is offered by the Loudon County Health Improvement Council’s GetFresh! Wednesday, June 21 – Farmer’s Market at the Tellico Village Yacht Club:  9 a.m. – Noon, 100 Sequoyah Drive, Loudon. 

 

Thursday, June 22 – Free Dental Fair:  1 – 4 p.m., Trinity United Methodist Church, corner of C Street and 2nd Avenue, Lenoir City.  The Hiwassee College School of Dental Hygiene, Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County, and Trinity United Methodist Church is sponsoring this event.  Screening for Tooth Decay, Periodontal Disease, and Oral Cancer, along with Oral Hygiene Instruction, Nutritional Counseling, Patient Education and Medical History.  Contact Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County at 865-986-1777 to register for this event. 

Thursday, June 22 – Loudon Farmers’ Market:  2 – 8 p.m., downtown Loudon.  For more info or to reserve your spot, call Loudon Parks & Recreation at 865-458-7525. 

 

Thursday, June 22 – Ladies’ Night Out at The Shoppes on the Square:  6:00 – 8:30 p.m., 612 Grove Street, downtown Loudon.  Come sip some wine and nibble on some cheese and sweets!  We are having a special night for our lady customers.  Bring the truck and a buddy to help you carry your treasures!  We are having a 20% discount on EVERYTHING!  Gift certificate give-away’s every half hour, must be present to win.  Call 865-244-0207 for more information.

 

Saturday, June 24 – Downtown Lenoir City Artist Walk:  10 a.m. – 6 p.m., on Broadway in downtown Lenoir City between Kingston Street and B Street, hosted by the Lenoir City Merchants Association.  We will have several Authors hosting book signings including George Bove (children’s book The Little Orange T) and Sarah Simpson Bevins.  Artists will also be selling their art work.  Call Teresa at 865-567-3222 for further details.

Tuesday, June 20 – Lenoir City Civitan Club Community Picnic:  Noon, Civitan Pavillion at Lenoir City Park.  Everyone in the community is invited and a complimentary lunch will be served, but please RSVP no later than Friday, June 16.  Our club is 100 years old and we are always looking for new members!  For more info, contact Sara at 865-986-0833.

Saturday, June 24 – Sand Painting at Depot Ceramic Shop:  10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 820 Dixie Lee Circle, Lenoir City.  Join us for a sand painting class and paint a piggy bank!  This little piggy makes a great project to bank on.  Use Neon Concepts underglaze with a unique sand mixture to layer on the design.  You’ll also learn a sponging technique and the basics of eye painting.  $25 per person and the cost includes the ware.  Check out the photo of the pig on www.DepotCeramicShop.com and call 865-816-3020 to reserve your spot.  (Deposit required.)
