The Pilot Club of Lenoir City is once again selling regular and candied nuts, including the infamous “fresh off the tree pecans!”  Great for holiday pies and baking, teacher or hostess gifts, cookie trays, and stocking stuffers.  All bags are $11 each. Proceeds help make the club’s brain-health programs and community projects possible.  Nuts available (16 oz. bags) are pecan halves and pieces, black and English walnuts, cashews, mixed nuts, sliced almonds, and pistachios.  Candies 12 oz. options are dark and milk chocolate, cinnamon-glazed, and pecan caramel clusters.  To place your order, call Pam at 865-986-2921 or email PilotClubLC@gmail.com

Saturday, November 10 – United Way of Loudon County First Annual Cornhole Tournament:  9 a.m. Registration, at Snow Biz, 1084 Old Hwy. 95, Lenoir City. All proceeds benefit United Way of Loudon County.  Tournament types:  blind draw, bring your own partner, social & advanced and long toss. Food, music, and UT vs. UK will be available to watch.  Registration is day of the event at 9 a.m. and cost is $20 per player per tournament entry. Thursday, November 29 – Evening with Santa:  6:00-7:30 p.m., Central Park, downtown Lenoir City.  Lenoir City Parks and Recreation would like to invite children and families to attend an evening with Santa.  This event includes one-on-one time with Santa, light refreshments, a gift, a big screen movie, crafts, games and a keepsake photo of your child with Santa and Mrs. Claus.  This event is free.  Call Lenoir City Parks & Recreation at 865-986-1223 for more info.

Spotlight your business on Loudon County Radio:  96.1-FM WLNT & Magic 104.1 are now offering a “Get On the Radio Special” for businesses that want to try local radio for the first time.  The radio station writes and produces your spot as part of the package, all you have to do is say yes!  Call Chip Lynn at 865-458-9563 and ask about the GOTR special. 

Volunteers for Run LoCo needed!  The Loudon County Education Foundation is hosting a Marathon, Half Marathon, 5k and Kid’s Fun Run.  Volunteers are needed for November 30 and December 1, 2018.  Please contact Susan Fox sfox@lenoircityschools.net or Scott Mackintosh mackintoshs@loudoncounty.org to sign-up!  We will need hundreds of volunteers to support this event to support education in Loudon County!  See website www.runloco.net for more details.  Share and like www.facebook.com/runlocotn to help support the event!
