Saturday, April 13 – Free Spay/Neuter Vouchers:  10 a.m., Loudon City Hall/Loudon Utilities Building, 201 Alma Place, Loudon.  Loudon County residents only – Picture ID required.  Pets must be four months or older.  Vouchers are limited to pet owners earning less than $20,000/year individual or $30,000/year for household. 

Saturday, April 13 – Loudon Parks & Recreation Annual Easter Egg Hunt:  11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Loudon Municipal Park.  Egg hunt begins at 2 p.m. – ages up to 12.  Thousands of candy and prize filled eggs!  Easter Bunny, inflatables, train rides and more!  For more information, call Loudon Parks & Recreation at 865-458-7525.

Thursday, April 11 – Dementia Support Group at The Neighborhood at Tellico Village:  11 a.m., 100 Chatuga Drive West, Loudon.  Our support group goal is to assist caregivers to make respectful and effective choices that guide everyone for a positive journey.  This month’s session features Resources Available to Determine Dementia and Geriatric Behavioral Centers.  During lunch, we discuss specific issues you may be experiencing and the group shares solutions.  Adult Day Care provided by Kiwanis.  Please RSVP to Marti at 865-456-4167 – seating is limited.

Thursday, April 25 – Dine Out for Education:  Eat at one of the participating restaurants on Thursday, April 25, 2019 to help raise money for education.  Visit www.lceftn.org to choose participating restaurants to have your breakfast, lunch, and dinner!  Participating restaurants will donate 10% of their pre-tax proceeds to the Loudon County Education Foundation!

Saturday, April 27 – Sand Painting Class at Depot Ceramic Shop:  9 a.m. – Noon, Depot Ceramic Shop, 481 Leeper Parkway, Lenoir City.  Create a Piggy Bank using a different way to use Duncan paint as well as basic eye painting.  Cost of the class is $35 and includes the piece.  A $10 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a seat.  Call 865-317-1345 for details or reservations.

CASA of the Ninth Judicial District is seeking volunteers to advocate for neglected and abused children in Loudon County.  Volunteers come from all walks of life.  No prior experience is required or needed to be a CASA Volunteer.  Our CASA program provides you with all the training and tools you need.  All it takes is 10-15 hours a month of your time and a heart to make a lasting difference in a child’s life.  By volunteering with CASA, you can help children avoid trauma that could have a negative impact on their lives, and replace their adverse experience with hope and a future.  Training classes start in early April.  To apply or for more information about CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), go to our website at BeForTheChild.org or call 423-539-5550.
